Northwestern Medical Center's mission is to provide exceptional healthcare for our community and we are currently recruiting for a Full-time Director of Quality, Risk & Regulatory opportunity.
EXPECTED HOURS/SHIFT:Full-Time (80 hours bi-weekly), generally Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
JOB SUMMARY
Director of Quality, Risk, and Regulatory provides the leadership and direction for the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of organizational quality, safety processes and quality measurement systems. Champions a culture of quality and safety through leadership, role modeling, teaching and mentoring. Develops a systematic, department wide approach to identifying, designing, measuring, prioritizing and monitoring all quality management activities. Responsible for directing and coordinating accreditation, policy and regulatory affairs initiatives;serves as liaison with the Joint Commission, Division of Health Service Regulation and other pertinent regulatory agencies. Responsible for oversight/coordination of operations of the Infection Control Program, ensuring strategies are implemented to prevent avoidable healthcare associated infections, maintaining compliance with national standards and regulatory agencies including but not limited to TJC, OSHA, CMS, CDC/NHSN. Coordinates with Press Ganey to provide patient experience feedback to stakeholders and develop strategies to improve patient satisfaction.
PREREQUISITES
Education:
RN Preferred. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of five (5) years of experience with evidence of leadership and consultative skills in quality improvement in a healthcare or similar setting preferred.
Special Skills:
Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies, tools, and techniques; experience leading and facilitating performance improvement teams within the healthcare environment. Demonstrated ability to function independently. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and concisely both verbally and in writing with individuals and groups at various levels and various disciplines.
